Cocos Gym Rules

 

We aim to make Cocos Gym a nice and safe environment for all our members. We have some rules in place to help us keep this Gym and great place to workout. Any member found in breach of our rules risks additional charges or their membership being cancelled.

 

Summary of Rules

-          Be respectful and considerate of other gym users

-          Keep equipment clean and wipe it down after your workout

-          Put weights and equipment carefully away in their designated place after use.

-          Don’t share your QR code with others

-          Use a locker and empty it when you leave

 

 

The Rules

1.      Access

Use your own QR code each time you visit Cocos Gym. This code is personal to you. Do not let anyone else use it or tailgate you into the gym. Members are not permitted to bring guests or friends with you. We monitor access with 24/7 CCTV and any members misusing their QR code may be charged additional fees or have their membership terminated with no refund.

2.      Induction

All members are required to attend a gym induction to instruct you on the use of gym equipment. Cocos Gym will not accept liability for any claim for personal injury if you use the gym having not undertaken a gym induction. Regular inductions will be advertised, or you can contact info@cocosgym.co.uk to arrange an induction.

3.      Wear appropriate clothing

For safety reasons you must wear appropriate attire when exercising – including appropriate footwear. No jeans, boots, flip-flops, slippers, or workwear etc are permitted.

4.      Respect others

Don’t disrupt other members during their workouts and be polite. Be patient when waiting for a piece of equipment and don’t crowd equipment. Please be mindful of using equipment for long periods of time and share between sets.

5.      Clean equipment after use

Wipe down equipment after use.

6.      Put your weights away

Please put all weights away after use. Do not drop or throw the weights.

7.      Use the equipment properly

Please ask for assistance if you are unsure how to use the equipment. There is a QR code on each station to show you how to use it. Damage to equipment through improper use may result in you being charged.

8.      Use the lockers

Lockers are provided for you to store personal items such as bags and coats. Please ensure you empty them after use. Cocos Gym accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property.

9.      Report issues

Please report any accidents, faulty equipment, lighting, or any other concerns to Cocos Gym

10. Eating and drinking

No eating or drinking of inappropriate foods in the gym (water, energy drinks and snacks are ok). Do not use the gym whilst under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or any other substances that may affect your ability to exercise safely.

11. No unofficial PTs

Only PTs with specific PT Membership are allowed to provide paid personal training

12. Photos & Videos

Please do not take photos or videos of other users unless permission is given. Do not post remarks online that may identify other users.

13. Smoking

Smoking (including e-cigarettes/vapes) are strictly prohibited in all areas of Cocos Gym.

14. Bikes and scooters

Bikes and scooters (including fold up ones) are not allowed inside and must be left outside the gym. Users are responsible for their own personal property and Cocos Gym accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property
